Tapas & Café y Pastel Networking Events Supporting Latinos in Charlotte

Every month the Latin American Chamber of Commerce of Charlotte organizes networking events to bring together the Latino and Non-Latino business community. We focus on promoting small businesses and corporations that are interested in expanding their offerings to the Latino community.

For this month of July we visited a very special venue in Uptown and we also visited an special partner of the LACCC. POPLAR – Tapas Restaurant & Bar opened their doors to host our Tapas Networking Event with the support of State Farm. And Sam’s Club hosted a fun and friendly Café y Pastel Networking Latino Breakfast.

Poplar Tapas Restaurant & Bar

Tapas Networking Event at Poplar

Located in the Historic Morrison House in Charlotte’s charming Fourth Ward neighborhood, Poplar Tapas Restaurant & Bar offers Peruvian-inspired tapas, wine and spirits.

The house was owned and occupied by descendants of Dr. Robert Hall Morrison, founder and first president of Davidson College.

The partners Lucia Zapata, Bruno Macchiavello (Executive Chef) and Yolanda Johnson have transformed this beautiful house into a warm and inviting restaurant. Reflective of Lucia and Bruno’s native country, Peru.

During the event, we heard some words from Cecy Ramirez, member of Poplar’s group of partners.

It was great to see Cecy again as she was one of the Co-Founders of the Latin American Chamber of Commerce of Charlotte and Ex-President of the LACCC Foundation. She welcomed our guests to try the delicious food from Poplar and promoted their services to host social and corporate events.

The raffles consisted on 2 double tickets for our Summer Fiesta 2018 and 1 $50 gift certificate for Poplar.
