Simón Muñoz-Alvarez supports program-wide initiatives for the Recovery & Resolution Program Office. He partners closely with various lines of business throughout the Company, including Independent Risk Management and Wells Fargo Audit Services, to ensure recovery and resolution planning is executed in a disciplined and controlled manner.
Prior to joining Wells Fargo, Simón served as a Relationship Manager for an independent financial services firm in Madison, Wisconsin with a focus on the Latino market throughout the Southeast. Simón primarily focused on Professional Employer Organizations (PEO) that offered comprehensive solutions in safety, risk mitigation, payroll processing, and health benefits to mid-to large sized companies.
Simón obtained a B.A. in Political Science and Spanish Literature & Language from the College of Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina. Simón relocated to Charlotte, North Carolina in 2016 and currently serves in the Board of Directors for the Latin American Chamber of Commerce of Charlotte and the Steering Committee for the Becthler Young Visionaries within the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art. He also is a member of the Colombian Leaders of Charlotte and the Co-Chair for Wells Fargo’s Charlotte Chapter Latin Connection Team Member Network.
Simón regularly volunteers with Charlotte’s Rescue Mission’s Young Professionals Group, the Alzheimer’s Association, and the Epilepsy Foundation, and is an advocate for diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
Simón is a self-taught novice painter and photographer, and frequently tries different coffee places in Charlotte.
