Martin Flores is currently Director of Construction for Bojangles’ Restaurants Inc. and is responsible for all process and protocol for new restaurant construction. He has served in this role since January of 2017.
Prior to joining Bojangles’, Martin held multiple executive positions with Belk Department Stores (Director of Architecture, Director of Store Planning Design and Construction) and Macy’s Department Stores within the Store Planning, Design, Construction and Facilities groups. While at Belk, he also served as Chair for their Business Resource Group BAILA (Belk Associate Inclusive Latino Alliance) which he co-founded in 2013. Martin also served as Director of Projects for the Pavlik Design Team in the late 90’s and early 2000’s, which specialized in retail / commercial design and architectural services.
He and his family have been in the Carolinas since 2009 where he has been active in the Latino Community through various volunteering and mentoring efforts.
In addition to his involvement with the Latin American Chamber of Commerce of Charlotte, he has been a member of the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce’s Emerging Business Leaders (EBL Class 3) program, and CBI’s Leadership Development Initiative (LDI Class 16).
Martin was born in Chicago, IL to Cuban and Salvadorian parents, and moved to Miami, FL at an early age. He attended Florida International University’s School of Architecture with a focus in Interior Design. He holds professional credentials through NCIDQ (National Certification for Interior Design Qualification) and is a professional member of IIDA (International Interior Designers of America) and RDI (Retail Design Institute). He actively participates in triathlons and has trained Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and other mixed-martial arts.
